Informal and formal

Today we have been learning how to read an informal sentence or a formal sentence. A formal sentence is like a greeting card or an email writing to your grandparent. Informal language is talking to your friend and mates and family.

Today for reading me and my group were doing wheel word we had to use a word with the letter starting with N . I only got a few words because N was a very hard word to find most.I was only aloud to use three hints to help me figure out the words i got most. were lens,nets,seen,teen,teens,Effluents.

Today my group Moutuihe and Pakatoa have been working in a group to find where the word wouhld go on the book. The word I was given was Cross Section. It was hard to find but Mrs. K helped me find the Cross Section. Now I know what a Cross Section is. 

Jetts Fitness in Mt Wellington

Today for reading our task is to make an advertisement for local Gyms. We read a book about a brother who wanted to go to the gym because he wanted to get fit and show off his muscles to this other girl at the gym.

For reading we have read a story called The Forty Coat Man. It is about a man that has nowhere to live and he is blamed for poisoning Mrs Archie pigs. In the end we find out that it wasn't him. This DLO is about making connections to the story.

Today we have learnt  about Matariki is a Maori name for the seven stars and means the eye of god or tiny eye in English. 

What would you do if someone was choking ?

This post shows what you can do if someone is choking . During reading we read about a baby  who could have choked on a button that her mum left on the floor . We then had to research what to do if someone is choking.

I spy

Today i have been reading out loud to myself but creating it on show me.I really like this book because it's like i spy. I think i have read this book because its really simpler to the other books i have read. The page i was reading on was page 8 and page 9. on page 8 pebble and stone were playing i spy again  and again.
